Dear CAT Aspirants IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi & IIM Trichy have jointly introduced Joint Admission Process 2026 for the MBA admission process 2026. IIM Raipur will coordinate JAP 2026, overseeing the centralized admission process for all four participating IIMs. admissions under JAP 2026 will be based on CAT percentile, academic performance, work experience, and diversity considerations. Final weightages and cut-offs will be determined after joint consultations among the participating IIMs and communicated to applicants in due course. Eligibility criteria are expected to be consistent with previous cycles, with adjustments aimed at expanding access to qualified candidates.
Previously these institutes were a part of the CAP counselling process but from 2026 they will be conducting it separately giving the students an added advantage of getting their seats confirmed at their dream institutions.
Along with IIMs, you should also need to focus on colleges which are equally important as IIMs; like SP Jain, MDI Gurgaon, IIFT

IIM Kashipur: Joint Admission Process 2026
IIM Kashipur is a second‑generation IIM, established in 2011 by the Government of India under the 11th Five‑Year Plan.
Offers multiple programmes: Full‑time MBA (PGP) and MBA (Analytics)
The FIED (Foundation for Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development) is its incubation centre. The incubation centre FIED has been active. Some highlights: 1. 23 startups got ~₹5 crores funding via the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme. 2. An “Agri‑Consortium” was formed involving multiple HEIs to foster Agri‑entrepreneurship. 3. The institute got upgraded innovation rating — it achieved a 4‑star rating in the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) rankings for 2022‑23 (up from 3.5 stars).
Achieved 100% placement in earlier years with highest package ~ ₹28 LPA, average ~ ₹12.24 LPA, top 10 percentile ~ ₹24 LPA.
IIM Raipur: Joint Admission Process 2026
One of IIM Raipur’s features is its coursework integrated with hands‑on training in policy & governance via different Govt departments. Students get exposure to real‑world problems, e.g. working in districts etc.
For the MBA 2023‑2025 batch, the highest package offered was ~ ₹42.29 LPA, average ~ ₹18.15 LPA. Number of recruiters involved was ~ 116, with 38 new recruiters.
IIM Raipur is planning an international dual degree programme: students spend one year at IIM Raipur, and one year at a partner foreign institution (Europe / America). Some universities being discussed: Univ. of Wolverhampton, Edinburgh, Napier, Essex etc.
IIM Ranchi: Joint Admission Process 2026
IIM Ranchi has replaced mid‑term exams across all its programmes with AI‑integrated, real‑world business problem‑solving projects. This initiative is called Working with AI (WAI).
In the 2024 25 batch, IIM Ranchi saw a 33% increase in the highest domestic CTC vs previous year. The maximum package reached ₹ 50.39 lakh per annum, average package for MBA was ~ ₹ 19.29 LPA, with the top 25% getting ~ ₹ 26.79 LPA.
The curricula incorporate courses that link with local culture or social issues: inclusion of tribal languages in electives, “Tribes in India,” etc.
IIM Trichy: Joint Admission Process 2026
IIM Trichy is a member of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) since May 2023. It has MoUs / tie‑ups with international universities such as Bond University, Australia for exchanges and joint research.
The highest Cost to Company (CTC) for PGPM was ~ ₹ 43.94 Lakh, PGPM‑HR ~ ₹ 33.12 Lakh. A good number of offers from ~150+ companies. The average CTCs: ~ ₹ 19.27 Lakh for PGPM, ~ ₹ 17.84 Lakh for PGPM‑HR. Summer internships too saw good stipends (e.g. up to ₹ 3.5 lakh for PGPM, ₹ 2 lakh for PGPM‑HR) in some sectors.
