Gateway to Symbiosis
Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP 2026) is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU). It offers admission to MBA programs at over 15 Symbiosis institutes across India such as SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, SIIB, SIBM Bangalore, and others.
Here are some unique features and facts that make SNAP different from other exams like CAT, XAT, or NMAT:
| 🟡 1. Multiple Attempts Allowed | SNAP is one of the few MBA entrance exams along with NMAT that allows up to three attempts in a single admission cycle. The best score out of the attempts is considered for final shortlisting. A candidate has the opportunity to improve his/her scores without an excuse. |
| 🟡 2. Short Exam Duration | SNAP is just 60 minutes long – one of the shortest MBA entrance exams. This makes it a speed-based test rather than only logic-based. |
| 🟡 3. Fewer Questions | Total of 60 questions only. While giving the exam it seriously feels like KBC’s Fastest Fingers First General English: 15 questions Analytical & Logical Reasoning: 25 questions Quantitative, DI & Data Sufficiency: 20 questions |
| 🟡 4. No Sectional Time Limit | Unlike CAT or XAT, there’s no time limit per section. Candidates can navigate and attempt questions from any section at any time during the 60 minutes, but in reality, one doesn’t have the time to navigate or go back. You just have one shot to get the correct answer. |
| 🟡 5. No Subjective or GK Section | SNAP does not include General Knowledge (GK) or Essay Writing, which are part of other exams like XAT or IIFT. |
| 🟡 6. Easy to Moderate Difficulty Level | Compared to CAT and XAT, SNAP has a more straightforward and speed-oriented question pattern. This makes it a good option for students who are quick decision-makers and prefer short-format tests. |
| 🟡 7. Less Negative Marking | There’s 25% negative marking for each incorrect answer. Correct answer = +1 mark Incorrect answer = -0.25 mark |
| 🟡 8. Testing Strategy Focus | Because of its speed vs accuracy challenge, SNAP rewards students who are: Good at time management Able to quickly eliminate options Comfortable with fast mental calculations |
